The arms show a three-tower castle that represents the Spanish castle of San Felipe del Morro and the fortress that surrounds the old San Juan. The armiger was born near that castle in a military hospital in the late 1950s. The three pennants are a representation of the American Flag (Blue Pennant), the Puerto Rico flag, represented by the Cross of St George pennant, and the Spanish Flag represented by the Cross of Burgundy (Spanish Military Flag from XVI century up to 1843) pennant. These three flags remain in the highest point of the castle in memory of the island's military history.

Many of the armiger’s ancestors served in this castle and defended the Spanish controlled island against Pirates, British, French, and Dutch armadas that over the years tried to take over the island and dislodge the Spanish forces that controlled it. On the sinister section of the shield the black Lyon over the gold bands is a variation of the arms used by the armiger’s oldest ancestor don Alonso Sanchez Dominguez and his descendants in Malaga, Spain during the XVI century. His descendants fought against the Spanish invasion and left an impressive record of valour and honour. The third section, the armoured man climbing over the tower, honours the armiger’s paternal grandmothers’ ancestors that prove their valour defending their land in Extremadura, Spain before arriving on the island of Puerto Rico.
