Count Alessandro Travaglini

Honorary Patrician of Ferrara and Patrician of Spoleto

Registered: The International Register of Arms, 11th March 2006. Registration No. 0036.

Arms: Per fess: On a sky proper three fleur-de-lys in chevron Or and in a sea a fish naiant proper.

Motto: SOLO IN DEO.

Grants: Following WWII destruction of the state archives of Ferrara, all records regarding the ancient Dukedom of Ferrara prior to the death of Duke Alfonso II (1597) and its subsequent incorporation in the territories of the Holy See were lost.

Already ascribed amongst the patricians of Ferrara in 1694, the family was formally nominated on 1 March 1720 and on 24 August 1726 was listed amongst the patricians of Spoleto as well. The comital title dates 25 November 1753 and was confirmed by His Holiness Pope Leo XII on 21 December 1827 and again by apostolic despatch on 26 March 1855

Bologna 7 Aug. 1949 Tina Laffi, b. Castiglione dei Pepoli (Italy) 1 Dec. 1924 (dau. of † Giovanni, K Military Order Vittorio Veneto, and † Ermellina Franchi), and had issue:
