The colours of the
armigers arms were chosen because of their meaning. Argent: peace and
sincerity, Azure: truth and loyalty. The bend signifies defence or
protection.
The griffins come from
the coat of arms of the city of Genoa, where the Marcenaro family
originated. The griffin (head, wings, and talons of an eagle with the
body of a lion); stands for valour, death-defying bravery and loyalty
and refers to the armigers service in the United States Army..
The silver wings on the
crest signify that the armiger is a paratrooper and the hand in armour
with sword is for the defence of Honour, Family, God and Country. As a
Knight of Magistral Grace of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order
of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta the armiger is
allowed the privilege to surround his arms with the badge of the
Order.
The late Hon. David
Garrison of Tranent appointed me Baron Ballie of the Barony of Tranent
which gave the armiger the heraldic privilege to set the cap of
Justice as Baron-Baillie upon his arms.
The armiger has been
honoured with several Orders of Knighthood: Grand Officer with Gold
Star of The Royal Order of Saint Michael of the Wing. Knight of Merit
with Star of The Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George.
